We were commissioned by the Government of The Republic of Sierra Leone, to carry out erosion control measures to the foreshore of the Atlantic Ocean, adjacent to the Landing Jetty of the International Airport at Lungi.

This is the first interface of the public with the country, and the erosion was threatening to cause extensive damage to the jetty.

Geomatrix Sierra Leone was able to bring to bear our expertise and resources to design and construct a Retaining Wall along the shoreline to solve this problem, and to also provide an aesthetically pleasing approach to the country as passengers are driven on the jetty to the ferry.
