The property was one of the old offices used by the Queen Mary Trust, and it had been sold off to our clients, a professional couple who wanted to turn it into a family home in the culturally rich Whitechapel area.

We needed to respect the materials used on the building, and in many cases had to carry out restorative work to ensure that the new works matched the existing, especially the brickwork, plastering and woodwork.

It turned out to be a beautiful piece of restorative work that produced a home of warmth and elegance.
